EU Elections: A Grand Day Out

On Saturday our local EU election candidate, Daniel Wimberley, took a (public) bus tour around some of the High Peak to talk to people about the upcoming election - and it was a great success! Seventeen folk took part in the tour, first meeting in in Glossop at 10am, where members and supporters turned out in force to help hand out leaflets. The weather held out and generally there was a very positive response, so it was a great start to the day. After an hour, the 61 bus was boarded and leafletting carried on in New Mills, before another bus was boarded and it was on to Whaley Bridge for an hour of engaging with locals on the street. EU Elections: come & meet our local Green Party candidate on 18 May

These are exciting times. We haven't even finished celebrating the election of our two Green Borough Councillors and we're the in middle of another election! We have a list of excellent candidates for the European elections on 23rd May. One of whom, Daniel Wimberley, is a member of High Peak Green Party and a resident of Bamford. The Green Party is rising in the polls and we have a great chance to show that Green policies cannot be ignored. Daniel has identified areas in the High Peak as some of the most likely to vote Green. So, now we need to get that vote out. On Saturday 18th May, Daniel and other members of High Peak Green Party will be out campaigning in town centres across High Peak.

Greens win in Hope Valley!

If you were following the local elections, you probably already know by now, but we are delighted to say that Greens across the High Peak have been celebrating gaining our first ever seats on the High Peak Borough Council! We took both seats in the Hope Valley ward, where Joanna Collins and Charlotte Farrell are the new Borough Councillors.
